Changing X axis category

In the attached file I would like to find a way to name these 2 columns as Premium (left) and Underlying (right) on the X axis.

Initially the X axis category was recognized as 1 even though I created two separate data series so I don't even know how that happened.

I want to change the X axis category to Premium (cell E29) for that first data series. Then I tried to change the X axis category to Underlying (cell F29) for that second data series. However, after I changed the 2nd series category to Underlying, I noticed that the first series also got changed to Underlying automatically.

Why is this happening? In short, I am trying to use E29 and F29 as X axis category labels for each column.

Hi ,

I am not sure that what you want done is possible ; I may be wrong.

See if this is acceptable.

That's exactly it. I see that you reoriented the rows and columns. I keep getting confused as to how Excel recognizes X categories and Y values. Any suggestions or links?
