2 ways look up

I am attaching a sheet and would like to know which formula should I use.

Some employees managers has changed in some months, do I would like to look up the employees manager as per the month.
Please help

Hi,

Try this in C13 and copy down:

=INDEX($B$2:$E$7,MATCH($A13,$A$2:$A$7,0),MATCH($B13,$B$1:$E$1,0))

Another option.

In D13, copy down :

=VLOOKUP(A13,A$2:E$7,MATCH(B13,A$1:E$1,0),0)
