add column in data source without affecting calculated fields in pivot

Hi Guys.. Im Jen

I hope I am not violating any rules.

Please help..

I try to add a new column at the end of my raw data then change the pivot data source however, the calculated fields (formulated fields) in my pivot change and it now looks like this:

= (#NAME?*#NAME?)+(#NAME?*#NAME?)

I have tried to insert additional columns in between existing columns. I have also tried table and offset but same result.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thank You.
Jen

Welcome to the forum, Jen!

Do you still have an original file where the calculated field is working? Once a formula gets the #NAME error, the only way to fix it is to either re-write the formula, or find an earlier version of your file.

Looks like the calculated field was pretty straightfoward...did you happen to change any of the column names?

Hi Luke, thank you.

I did not change any of the column names. I just try to insert or add a column then refresh the pivot. The formula that I have here is just one example and I have a lot that gets an error :(
