Calculating achievement as % of a footfall conversion

Hi all,

I've searched but no one seems to have asked quite the question I'm looking for.

My spreadsheet already tells me how many sales vs footfall I have in my store. For example if I had 1000 customers and we did 10 sales, thats 1 in 100. My problem is if my target is 100, what formula do I need to work out this as a percentage?

Hi ,

There is not enough information to decide what your question is.

First , let us standardize the terminology :

1. Footfalls is the same as customers - is this correct ?

2. When you say your target is 100 , are you referring to footfalls or sales ?

If your target is sales , then where do the footfalls come in ?

A sales figure of 10 , where the target is 100 , is 10 % , period.

If we are talking of conversion , what you are saying is that the conversion percentage target was 100 in 1000 , which is 10 %. The actual conversion was 10 in 1000 , which is 1 % ; in terms of footfall conversion , where you wanted to achieve 10 % , you achieved just 1 % , which means you fell short by 90 % ; in other words you achieved 10 % of your target.

Any comments ?
