cell protection but allow auto update of cell value

Hello,

Bit stuck on something that I think should be simple but can't find how to do it.

I have a dashboard that I want to lock down so people can only use the scroll bar (form control) and the slicer. When I prevent users from selecting a cell, it also appears to prevent that cell's value being updated with the scroll bar (using an offset formula, offsetting another cells value by the scroll bar value and displaying this in the locked cell).

Any help would be appreciated.

I think you need to unlock the cell which is linked with your scroll bar.
