Hi Rahul - removing letters from the string means you will have to repeat the substitute function 26 times, furthermore, your string can contain more text values other than the letters, to avoid those you will have to add more substitutes to the ultimate function...what Deepak has suggested is an amazing solution - or else you may wish go with the UDF's...see attached(all you need to do is to enable macros and use the UDF)
