Fiscal year in a pivot

Click in the Date Field
Right Click, Group
Starting At 1/7/Year
By Months, Quaters, Year (select as appropriate)
 
That doesn't do what you think, Hui...that start date just arbitrarily determines a cutoff point at which anything before will be effectively lumped into an 'Other' group.

Carman, there’s no option in that dialog to group by fiscal year…when it comes to years, it’s either Calendar Year or nothing.

But you can easily accomplish fiscal year grouping via a formula back in the source data. Excel MVP Debra Dalgleish has a great tutorial on how to group by Fiscal Year – and also by fiscal year to date – at http://www.contextures.com/excelpivottablefiscalyear.html that can show you how
