How could you scale a graph properly

In the attached file, my X axis is somehow way out of proportion to the Y axis. How can I scale the X and Y axis properly?

I would like to do this while being able to accommodate changing values based on user input.

Right click on the Y Axis
Format Axis
St the Axis Min/Max as applicable
I'd suggest -1000, 500 or Automatic

There is nothing wrong with the X Axis
