My problem is I use two documents but my staff want to simplify the process to one document. Without the first document, the staff would not know what tracking number to use.
Document 1:I use an excel log sheet to assign the tracking number.The next time a tracking number is needed, I use the next available sequential number. If 6201 was the last number used, the next available number is 6202.
Document 2: The number obtained from document 1 is entered into an Excel form in the field called tracking number (specifically, PR#).
Question: if I only use document 2, how do I get the PR form to increment the tracking # to the next sequential number? Also, the form is protected but everyone can fill in the cells.
