How to create a last-modified date when any cell content changes?

Cell A1 being the date value, and the rest of cells subject to changes.
Either Worksheet function or VBA could achieve this?

Remark : Usual opening or viewing of WB would bear no effect on it.

I believe you need a macro for this could you please upload a sample file and specify which cells have to keep the log of changes.
