I need to calculate OT in a timesheet I created.

=IF((L3)*24>8,(L3)*24-8,0)

I'm using the above formula to calculate OT from column L3, anything over 8 hours. What am I missing?
 
Are you trying to determine the OT hours or something else? What are the values in L3 and why are you multiplying them by 24. Do they represent a decimal value of the day?
