Index match query

Hi Experts

I am trying to learn the concept of Index match together to use it in the same way as vlook-up. In the sample file I applied the vlookup and want to extact the result with the help of index-match in the index-match sheet. Please help me with the understanding of the concept.

Hi Asheesh

Thanks for sharing the above links they are informative. I want know can we use Index+Match in the way we use vlook-up. Like in Match("Jagdev",A1:A6,0). It gonna match one entry I want to check the entire column the way vlookup works. Please let me know if I am wrong.
