inserting in comments

dear all,
I want to copy paste a part of excel in a comment.
I am doing this by copying the part of excel and pasting this in comment using clipboard.
But i am not getting the format of excel (for example: the border lines). As a result the copied part is messy.
Is there a way to copy the excel part properly in the comment.

thanks and regards

Not sure as to why you want to do this but you could save your Excel section as a picture and then do the following:-

  1. Right-click the cell which contains the comment.
  2. Choose Show/Hide Comments, and clear any text from the comment.
  3. Click on the border of the comment, to select it.
  4. Choose Format|Comment
  5. On the Colours and Lines tab, click the drop-down arrow for Colour.
  6. Click Fill Effects
  7. On the picture tab, click Select Picture
  8. Locate and select the picture
  9. To keep the picture in proportion, add a check mark to Lock Picture Aspect Ratio
  10. Click Insert, click OK, click OK

.

dear bobhhc,
thanks for the reply. Just want to know one more thing. If the original picture is deleted than will the picture remain in comment.

Thanks and regards
