Hi...

There are 2 sheets in the workbook which i want to link with another workbook, which will be having -

BD# NAME JOB

If i type BD# no. (i.e. emp. no. - "101241"), the formula needs to fetch the "name" and "job" and give result as the following:

BD# NAME JOB
101241 morris office

how do i capture the data, since the required data is available in different ranges.

Regards,
ganeshm

Hi, ganeshm!

A few doubts:
a) So it's in the other workbook (not posted) where you'll enter BD and expect to retrieve name & job?
b) Should the formula look in every range (10 in the sample file) of both worksheets Sheet1 & Sheet2?
c) If so to b), will always those 10 ranges be fixed, might they span downwards, move to other locations,...?

Regards!

Dear SirJB7,

You're right sir.

My answer is "Yes" for all questions. All those 10 ranges will be fixed.

Regards,
ganeshm
