Picking text or number from a data which consists of both text and number

Greetings!!
I have a data which consists of both text and numbers and I want to pick either number or text from that cell. Putting two examples :
1) rjh589thjr84
2) hdgh5784

use the below formula - to be array entered

assuming that your data is in A1- INT(NPV(-0.9,IFERROR(MID(A1,1+LEN(A1)-ROW(INDIRECT("1:"&LEN(A1))),1)/10,"")))
