Renaming linked excel file in ppt

Dear Experts,

I have a power point presentation linked with 8-10 different excel files. I have pasted a large number of charts and tables in ppt as link from these excel files. Now I have to rename all of my excel sheets. I am not able to find a way to link renamed files in ppt. The only way I could find is to open each and every workbook, copy chart again and paste as link at each place in ppt. It is a very time consuming method.

Is there any way to link renamed excel files in power point without doing complete exercise of copying and pasting?

You can check manually as per data sorce. No any other option. Hence forth keep in mind while renaming files, kindly note down old & new file name.
Now you can create new PPT file with Paste special & Paste Link in PPT.
