Run Time Error '70' Permission denied

Hi,

I am getting "Run Time Error '70' Permission denied" bug while running a macro.

The bug is caused at below mentioned line.

FileCopy NewTypeDPath & FileName, NewPath & FileName

I checked NewTypeDPath and NewPath in Immediate window. It is showing correct path.
I copied same path and enter manually in windows run, the path is valid and accessible.

Not able to understand what is causing the bug, can anyone please help in this.

This problem occurs if the source file you want to copy is open when you try to run the macro.

Hi @Deepak Sir, yes, you are right, the file is open, first I was checking if the path is valid, since path was valid I got confused.

Later I checked if the file exist, then I realized it is open. Thanks a lot for the help. Good night.

PS - The file is shared and was open at another PC. And I was closing entire excel application at user's PC.
