Time computation

Hello Everyone,

May I seek assistance please for creating a formula in computing for a total number of hours given a set of days with number of hours in string of text with letters and numbers combined.
ex:
post = 5h 5m, pre = 2h 57m would give you a sum of 8h 3m
pre = 6h 15m would give you 6h 15m

sorry for any confusion, i've re-attached a new file, highlighting where should the formula be from the data to be extracted.

pre = 2h 55m, post = 1h 15m pre columns should contain 2
and 55 on the hour and minute columns accordingly while 1 and 15 on the post, hour and minute accordingly.

hope this clarifies things and thanks for your help.

Hi Narayank991,

Thanks for the help and the file attached. But there is still some minor issue though, the data on the "post-hr" is being read also as "pre-hr", should there be no "pre-hr" data available, and therefore computes it twice in the end.

any help once again for adjustment please. thanks
