Weighted average

Hello People,

I have two sets of data. One is the spread of students across different regions and the other is the revenue generated by the students in the regions.

I want to increase the fee by 3% but do not want to have a blanket increase of 3% across region. I want to know using weighted average the most profitable region based on student/revenue and fee or is there any other way to do this?

Anyone out there can help me solve this problem?

Hi,

I have a question on weighted average.
I have xx tasks, divided in xx categories. But the time spent is always diferent (5m, 4m59, 5m05, 4m48, etc.), so I’m not able to group them in quantities for each category.

In my example, the "wanted information" is a normal average, but I want to find the weighted average for the time spent in each category, for the different intervals (as days, weeks or months).

Can anyone help me?
Thanks
